The Moore Threads MTT AIBook is a new premium laptop from the company, and it's one of the very few systems that are powered by the China-made M1000 SoC. It features 32GB of RAM, a 120Hz OLED display, and a MacBook Pro-styled chassis.

Moore Threads has introduced a new premium laptop, the MTT AIBook. It's powered by what the brand claims to be a China-made SoC, which comprises a CPU, NPU, and GPU.

Among the three, the CPU has a 12-core configuration, while the NPU can seemingly deliver 50 TOPs performance. The latter makes the SoC remain at the same level as top-end AMD Strix Point laptop processors (AI 9 365-powered Asus ZenBook S16 curr $1,189.99 on Amazon). There's a GPU as well, which is based on the MUSA architecture.

It seems that there's only one configuration of the laptop, which pairs the ARM-based SoC with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. While this amount of memory may seem a bit overkill for a system that runs on an in-house software stack, Moore Threads appears to be promoting its AI capabilities.

What's rather interesting is that Moore Threads highlights that the laptop can run Linux, Android, and Windows. Here, Windows support is through virtualization, and it's not native Windows on ARM.

As for the other specs, it's on par with other premium productivity laptops. The MTT AIBook comes with a 1TB SSD and a 2.8K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. There's a quad-channel speaker setup and a dual-fan cooling configuration with a large copper heat block.

Design-wise, the laptop looks very similar to a MacBook Pro, featuring a sleek metallic finish and a relatively thin chassis. There are no Thunderbolt or USB4 ports, but the system has three unspecified USB-C ports. Moore Threads is unlikely to launch this in the global market, but it's currently available in China at CNY 9,999, around $1,447.
