The Moondrop Space Travel TWS were already extremely popular due to their price-performance ratio, and the manufacturer is now upgrading these truly wireless earbuds. The design remains largely unchanged apart from the lettering on the charging case and the earbuds, but the manufacturer is modernizing the hardware in several key areas.
First and foremost, the Moondrop Space Travel 2 support Bluetooth 6.0, but only the compressed AAC and SBC codecs. A gaming mode reduces latency to 55 ms. Moondrop still utilizes dynamic drivers with a diameter of 13 mm, but these are improved drivers with a beryllium coating that supposedly have a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.5 percent.
These headphones are tuned for a natural sound profile, but they can also be adjusted to personal preferences using an equalizer in the Moondrop app, which also allows users to export and share configurations. The active noise cancellation is optimized by AI and should be more effective than in the previous model. One of the most significant upgrades is the battery life, which increases to seven hours. In combination with the charging case, 24 hours of playback time are advertised. The case charges via USB-C.
Price and availability
The Moondrop Space Travel 2 are expected to launch for $29.99, just like the predecessor. The manufacturer has not yet confirmed when the earbuds will be launched in Europe and other markets. The first-generation Moondrop Space Travel are also available on Amazon.
