The TicWatch Pro 5 is on the horizon, with Mobvoi adding support for the forthcoming smartwatch within its companion smartphone app. While Mobvoi has not yet announced a launch date for the TicWatch Pro 5, retailers like Amazon US have started clearing TicWatch Pro 3 series stock. For example, Amazon US has reduced the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra by approximately 15%.
However, the retailer has discounted the original TicWatch Pro 3 by 50%, as has Mobvoi. Little separates the TicWatch Pro 3 and TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra; both are based on the Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform, have 1 GB of RAM and a 1.4-inch AMOLED display. For reference, Mobvoi has not yet updated the TicWatch Pro 3 series to Wear OS 3, despite promising to do so. By contrast, the Fossil Group started upgrading its smartwatch portfolio to Wear OS a few months ago.
Currently, Amazon US and Mobvoi have discounted the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS to US$149.99. In other words, the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS now costs as much as the TicWatch E3, which has also received a US$50 discount. Please see our TicWatch Pro 3 GPS review for our full thoughts on the smartwatch and Mobvoi's website for more technical details.
