Microsoft really pushed the design envelope with their Arc Touch Mouse. It broke away from tradition with its ultra-slim look, but apparently, the design could be further perfected as Microsoft just launched an improved version – the Microsoft Arc Mouse.
The new model allows for vertical and horizontal scrolling and is optimized for a maximized natural and ergonomic use via the updated BlueTrack technology. The imaging rate is dynamically adaptable to 1200 fps, while the tracking speed can reach 30 inches per second. The ultra-slim design snaps flat and can easily be carried into a pocket or bag. The Arc Mouse can be used together with laptops and notebooks since it can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. You can also color match the mouse with you Surface Laptop and order it directly from Microsoft’s online store for $79.99.
Microsoft also launched the Modern Mouse, with a more conventional look. This mouse features a regular design and soft silver finish. Specific to this model are the metal wheel, the detent scrolling system and the imaging rate that is adaptable to 4000 fps. The Modern Mouse is wireless as well, and can be ordered for $49.99.
I first stepped into the wondrous IT&C world when I was around seven years old. I was instantly fascinated by computerized graphics, whether they were from games or 3D applications like 3D Max. I'm also an avid reader of science fiction, an astrophysics aficionado, and a crypto geek. I started writing PC-related articles for Softpedia and a few blogs back in 2006. I joined the Notebookcheck team in the summer of 2017 and am currently a senior tech writer mostly covering processor, GPU, and laptop news.
