Micromax announces the budget Canvas Infinity smartphone with 18:9 screen ratio
If you like the design of LG’s Q6 smartphone, but cannot really afford it, you could take a look at the new Canvas Infinity from Indian company Micromax. It certainly does not have the advanced specs of the LG smartphone, but Micromax has managed to integrate a similar ultra-wide 18:9 display used by the South Koreans. The Canvas Infinity features a 5.7-inch display, a full 0.2-inch larger than the LG Q6 display. Micromax even kept the Full Vision name and rounded corners, even though the resolution was reduced to 1440 x 720.
Looking at the specs, the Canvas Infinity comes with what you would expect from a mid-range phone. It is powered by the Snapdragon 425 CPU and features 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage. The imaging features are focused on the selfie aspects, as the front camera has a 16 MP sensor and the rear one only features a 13 MP sensor. The front camera features soft focus and real time Bokeh effects, while the rear one has an f2.0 aperture and integrates the Auto HDR technology. Additionally, there’s a fingerprint sensor and a 2,900 mAh battery.
The Canvas Infinity will only be available for around US$156 through Amazon India starting September 1st.
