Deal | Nvidia RTX 4060-powered killer budget gamer with Ryzen 9 8945HS and 144 Hz display gets solid discount
With Nvidia's RTX 5000 series mid-range Blackwell gaming GPUs slated to make their way to laptops later this year, prices of last-gen gaming hardware are bound to come down significantly. It seems as though MSI and Newegg have jumped the gun, though, with this particular gaming laptop deal. While the 22% discount and $200 rebate are available, the MSI Thin A15 comes in at just $729.99 on Newegg, making it cheaper than many laptops that pack much slower hardware.

Despite the name, the MSI Thin A15 measures in at 21.7 mm thick, which isn't breaking any records, although the slightly thicker chassis should mean better cooling and a quieter laptop under loads. Thanks to that USB-C with DP alt mode and an HDMI port, the Thin A15 allows for up to two extra displays to be connected, making it a viable option for a clean dual-monitor or ultrawide desk setup — when connected to something like the affordable Asus TUF gaming 27-inch QHD G-Sync gaming monitor — with the option to take the laptop on the go when needed.
Despite the limiting 8 GB of VRAM in the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, it still packs a punch for 1080p and 1440p gaming, according to our benchmarks, and the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS is no slouch, either, putting out similar performance to many desktop CPUs with much higher power draw.
As for creature comforts, the MSI Thin A15 comes with a backlit keyboard, although it's only single-colour backlighting, and the WASD keys are translucent, which adds a bit of a gamer aesthetic to a laptop that otherwise has quite a clean design.
