Introduction

What makes a true flagship laptop? Is it the internals alone? The chassis design? A class-leading display? Great haptics? Or, is it a combination of all these?

MSI's 2022 laptop launches across business, creative, and gaming verticals embody the company's vision of cutting-edge innovation and design that create extraordinary experiences. This year, we have seen MSI offer innovative solutions for gamers and business users with laptops featuring the latest Intel 12th gen Alder Lake processors. But there's one more category left.

Enthusiast gamers and content creators on the move expect nothing less than a complete desktop replacement. However, designs in the past have resulted in bulky and hefty devices that are just "laptops" in name. MSI wants to change that paradigm in 2022 with the 12th gen Intel HX series lineup.

MSI 12th gen HX laptops

The 12th gen HX series of MSI laptops offers users the best possible premium combination of killer aesthetics and unhindered performance never before seen in a mobile solution. Now, gamers and creators can extract every last bit of performance from their systems to fuel their tasks while still experiencing great cooling, excellent connectivity, and long-lasting batteries.

Luxurious aesthetics

Even with desktop-class enthusiast solutions, form is as equally important as function. Few understand design as it relates to functionality like MSI does, and we see that being incorporated into the HX lineup as well. These laptops are quite slim for the hardware onboard, feature laser-carved logos and branding, and they come with pleasing RGB lighting effects that are infinitely customizable. All these together lend a sophisticated design that not only looks and feels premium but also complements the performance perfectly.

Extreme performance

Performance is at the heart of the new HX Series lineup. The MSI HX lineup is designed to unshackle you from the desktop no matter the workload. This is made possible via Intel's latest 12th gen HX Series 16-core processors with 8 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores and 24 threads that offer up to 150 W of turbo power for a 200% performance uplift.

MSI's own exclusive innovations such as OverBoost help maximize CPU and GPU output to 250 W in 17.3-inch form factors for sustained performance. MSI's Cooler Boost Titan in the Titan GT77 and CreatorPro X17 that is comprised of four fans, seven heatpipes, six exhausts, and 2.25x the airflow, ensures that this high level of sustained performance does not throttle irrespective of whether you are in a competitive frag fest, working with large datasets, or rendering images for the next big YouTube sensation.

Innovative technology

MSI's innovations are not limited to just extracting the maximum performance alone. The new HX Series features VR control with voice commands. These laptops are fully metaverse-ready thanks to Animaze that allows creating your own avatars for online interaction in popular apps such as Zoom, Discord, YouTube, Twitch, and Teams. Also, the MSI Raider GE67 HX is the first laptop to sport an OLED QHD 240 Hz panel for fast, immersive gaming experiences.

MSI Titan GT77: Stealing the show at Computex 2022 with Red-dot Design and Gold Choice awards

The very mention of the word "Titan" evokes a sense of awe and respect, and MSI's Titan range of laptops has exemplified those sensations over the years. Now, MSI is reintroducing the Titan GT77 powered by the latest hardware and with class-leading design.

This year's MSI Titan GT77 sheds the preconceived notion that powerful gaming laptops have to be bulky and cumbersome to carry around. The new Titan GT77 has an unprecedented thickness of just 23 mm. MSI has left no stone unturned in ensuring a suave design that is also extremely functional and can fully complement the powerful hardware.

The MSI logo is now RGB-lit and there's also a projective Mystic Light bar, which you can fully customize using the built-in SteelSeries Engine application. The Titan GT77 uses a Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile mechanical keyboard that brings best-in-class typing and gaming experience to a laptop form factor. The trackpad is also now enlarged by 60% compared to the last GT series laptop to allow for unhindered smooth and precise gliding.

With the new Intel 12th gen Core i9 HX processors, the Titan GT77 is a true desktop replacement in every sense of the word. Featuring up to 16 cores, the new Core i9 HX CPU supports 150 W maximum turbo power (MTP), allowing you to unleash your deadliest force on the enemy. The 12th gen Intel Core i9 HX processor allows retaining your dominance on the battlefield, unmindful of processor bottlenecks.

Aiding the 12th gen Intel Core i9 HX is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU based on the Ampere architecture that can work at a staggering 175 W TGP. You can configure the RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU to function in both discrete and MSHybrid modes and even adjust GPU core and VRAM frequencies directly via MSI Center.

However, having powerful components alone is not sufficient. MSI's OverBoost technology ensures that you always get a combined 250 W output from both the CPU and the GPU no matter the workload.

Ensuring throttle-less, consistent high performance requires absolutely the best cooling available. MSI Cooler Boost Titan with four fans and seven heatpipes together with phase-change thermal pads for the CPU and the GPU ensures that both these components always offer peak performance.

The MSI Titan GT77 also offers four memory slots that allow installing up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM along with four PCIe slots, of which one is PCIe Gen 5-capable, for up to 8 TB storage. A large 99.99 Whr battery lets you work and game on the move.
