Dynabook's Portégé Z40L-N has made its debut as a new business-class laptop that's powered by the Intel Lunar Lake processors. To be exact, there are two configurations available, one featuring the Core Ultra 5 226V and the other 258V. The former is paired with 16 GB of RAM, while the second configuration has 32 GB of RAM.
One of the main highlights of the system is that it sports a detachable 56 Wh battery. This will eventually help to enhance the laptop's lifespan, as batteries are among the most susceptible to replacement because they tend to degrade significantly over time. But this isn't the only highlight of the laptop. Dynabook's Portégé Z40L-N sports a thin and light form factor.
Per the spec sheet, the Dynabook Portégé Z40L-N features a magnesium-aluminum chassis that weighs 2.2 pounds, and it measures 312.4x224x15.9 mm. Even with such a lightweight and thin build, the company says that the laptop is sturdy enough to get through the MIL-STD-810H test.
There is a decent selection of ports as well, with the Dynabook Portégé Z40L-N featuring the following:
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 2x Thunderbolt 4
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x microSD card reader
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
For wireless connections, the laptop sports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth. In terms of the display, the Portégé Z40L-N comes with a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. The front also houses a 5 MP IR camera with support for Windows Hello.
Other highlights of the laptop include a spill-resistant keyboard, stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, a fingerprint reader, and up to 2 TB of storage (1 TB Crucial P310 curr. $64.99 on Amazon). As for the price, the Core Ultra 5 226V variant starts at $1,699, while the upper-end configuration with Core Ultra 7 258V starts at $2,199. You can learn more from the spec sheets attached below.
