Lenovo has officially introduced the ZUK Edge today. Featuring a 5.5 inch Full-HD LCD-display, the ZUK Edge offers a fairly high display-to-body-ratio of 86.4 percent thanks to its small bezels. Inside, a Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at the full 2,35 Ghz puts it in the top spot, especially for its suggested retail price of $330 and up. Lenovo has announced two version of the phone for the Chinese market today. The 4 GB version sells for the aforementioned $330 while a 6 GB version will go on sale for $360. There will also be a special Lee Min Ho-version, that might be of interest to fans of the South Korean actor (see promo video below).

All versions of the ZUK Edge feature 64 GB of non expandable fast UFS 2.0 storage. The metal case measures 7.68 mm in width and comes in white or black color options. It houses a 3,100 mAh battery which can be charged via the USB 3.1 equipped Type-C port. The 4K capable 13 megapixel camera on the back features 1.34 um pixels, an aperture of F/2.2 and both Phase Detection and Contrast Autofocus. The front camera offers 8 megapixel and an aperture of F/2.2 as well. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the Home Button below the display. A DIRAC-DAC is supposed to offer superior audio quality.

Dual-Band-WiFi (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.1 are available, LTE is supported on bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, 38, 39, 40 and 41, allowing the ZUK Edge to connect to 4G networks all over Europe and Asia. T-Mobile customers in the US might miss support for band 12 however. In addition to its standard range of sensors, Lenovo added a couple of health related sensors like heart rate-, UV- and an altimeter. Its is currently not know, if Lenovo is planning to sell the phone outside of China. It will go on sale January 1st 2017 but can be pre-ordered on JD.com.
