Affordable ThinkPad pioneer. After the smaller E470 quite convinced us, we now have Lenovo's ThinkPad E570 as a 15.6-inch Kaby Lake pioneer in the test. Our in-depth report reveals whether the larger model from the E lineup is just as convincing.

When we started this review, we were expecting to review strictly business-oriented machine. However, our tests suggest otherwise. The Lenovo ThinkPad E570 appears to be more of a well-balanced, mid-range mainstream machine with just a few missteps along the way.

Not everyone prizes slim and light over big screens, full keyboards and processor power. The Lenovo ThinkPad E570 isn’t for the kind of person who works from cafés or airport lounges. There are many who still want DVD drives. This will hit the spot for some demographics.

Lenovo ThinkPad E570-20H6S02M00
The Lenovo ThinkPad E570 IGP is designed to enhance productivity. It provides smooth, fast processing and a clear, sharp display as well as an ergonomic keyboard are included as standard equipment. It can also be configured to best meet business needs for storage, memory, graphics; and budget. Renowned for ruggedness, durability, and quality, ThinkPad laptops undergo robust testing. These include pressure, temperature, humidity, vibration, and dust tests. Being a Thinkpad, the ThinkPad E570 has a real business appearance, with silver and black alternate and thick screen edges. The laptop does not deserve a beauty price, but the housing is made of sturdy plastic and is robust at least. The keyboard is one of the positive features of ThinkPads. This also applies to this model. Lenovo uses keys with a small dump where fingers fall into; Due to a rough surface, they do not slip away. The keys provide sufficient travel and feedback. The trackpad has integrated mouse buttons, but there are also two physical mouse buttons above. In addition, there is the famous red tracking point in the center of the keyboard. This makes the laptop luxuriously equipped. The E570 is easy to the eyes and ears. It comes with up to a 15.6" FHD (1920x1080) anti-glare display. It reflects a lot less than reflective screens, which makes it usable outdoors. The screen has the good color rendering and viewing angles. The user can also enjoy crisp, clear surround sound via built-in stereo speakers and Dolby Audio Premium. Thanks to wide-angle viewing, face-tracking, and low-light sensitivity features, the built-in HD webcam and dual noise-cancelling microphones make it so simple to link up with colleagues and friends. The E570 even has convenient multimedia keys for quick, easy access to microphone and speakers. Under the hood, the E570 runs on an Intel Core i5-7200U, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256 GB SSD, and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 graphics processor. This hardware specification is at the medium level. It meets mid-range user requirements such as office use and multimedia usage. The laptop weighs starting at 5.1 lbs (2.3 kg) and measures at 14.92 x 10.27 x 0.90 inch (379 x 261 x 22.9 mm). On the right, Lenovo has an old DVD drive, the network port is still there, there is a genuine USB 2.0 connector and the audio input/output is also on the right. The left side houses Lenovo's own power supply and also a USB-C Gen. 1 port (USB 3.0 speed). In addition, there is the VGA connection, which is not seen on consumer laptops for a while. Finally, there are HDMI and two USB 3.0 ports. The ThinkPad E570 IGP is one of the more moderate laptops of the Thinkpad series. It offers all the perks of a Thinkpad without the specs unnecessary for some. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

Disappointing screen. With the ThinkPad E570, Lenovo delivers a quiet, enduring office machine that serves with a good keyboard and lightning-fast NVMe SSD. The HD screen is a complete disappointment.
