Archive.org versionLooks and feels alright in hand, nice screen, fast enough for everyday use, decent battery life, front facing speakers, fair price (if you can find it discounted). No oleophobic coating, the screen has a yellow tint, slow USB transfer speeds.

Model: Users highly recommend the Lenovo Tab S8 because of its high powered functionality and reasonable price tag. This tablet has an 8 inch screen with resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a rather high pixel density of 283 ppi. The display is a multitouch IPS LCD that supports up to 10 touch points. The screen reaction time is smooth and not delayed. Another pro is that it only weighs about 300 g and is only 8 mm thick. This is very light and portable for a tablet its class.
It runs the latest Android 4.4 OS, also called the KitKat. The processor is an Intel Atom Z3745 quad core processor that can clock up to 1.3 GHz, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The storage capacity can be increased by up to 32 GB with a microSD. There are two cameras, a 1.6 MP front camera and a 8 MP rear camera. The 4.8 inch width of the tablet makes it extremely comfortable for one-handed.
The only downside is that battery life is limited to about 7 hours with the non-removable battery, which may be inconvenient for users who need their tablets for an entire day outside. Overall, the high performance hardware in this gadget makes the short battery lifespan worthwhile.
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail):
Integrated GPU for tablet and notebook Bay Trail SoCs. Based on the Ivy Bridge GPU with four Execution Units and support for DirectX 11.
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

Intel Atom: The Intel Atom series is a 64-Bit (not every model supports 64bit) microprocessor for cheap and small notebooks (so called netbooks), MIDs, or UMPCs. The speciality of the new architecture is the "in order" execution (instead of the usual and faster "out of order" execution). Therefore, the transistor count of the Atom series is much lower and, thus, cheaper to produce. Furthermore, the power consumption is very low. The performance per Megahertz is therfore worse than the old Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz on par with a 1.6 GHz Atom).
Z3745: Soc with an integrated quad core Atom processor clocked at up to 1.86 GHz (Turbo), an Intel HD Graphics GPU and a dual channel LPDDR3-1067 memory controller.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
