IFA 2022 | Lenovo Tab P11 Pro refreshed with a MediaTek Kompanio 1300T SoC, 2.5K OLED screen and DP-out functionality

Lenovo has refreshed its Tab P11 Pro with some interesting new hardware and features. While it still can't hold a candle to high-end offerings from Samsung and Apple, it can serve as an excellent mid-range offering for those who don't want to spend too much money on a tablet. It will be available for purchase in September 2022, with prices starting at EUR 499 (US$499).

Unlike the first-generation Lenovo Tab P11 Pro, its next iteration packs a MediaTek Kompanio 1300T SoC. It features four Cortex-A78 cores (2.6 GHz), four Cortex-A55 cores (2.0 GHz), an ARM Mali G77 MCP GPU, up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. One can expand the latter up to 1 TB via a micro SD card.

Lenovo has stuck with a conventional single-camera design for the Tab P11 Pro. The lone 13 MP rear sensor is, however, accompanied by a LED flash module. At the front, an 8 MP sensor handles selfies and video calls. An 8,000 mAh battery powers the tablet. Its maximum charging wattage isn't specified, but Lenovo supplies a 20 W charger in the retail packaging.

The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro features an 11.2-inch OLED panel with a 2.5K (2,560 x 1,536) resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 100% of DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, 360 Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. One can also use the tablet as a secondary display for their laptops via a USB Type-C cable.

Other Lenovo Tab P11 Pro features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The only mode of biometric authentication is Face ID, as it is bereft of a fingerprint sensor. The tablet runs Android 12L out of the box and will receive two major software updates (Android 14).
