Deal | Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 9 with RTX 4070 becomes $580 cheaper for Labor Day

Lenovo introduced the Legion 7i Gen 9 at CES 2024, and the gaming laptop was offered with two high-end Intel 14th-generation CPUs. The top-end variant with the Intel Core i9 14900HX is now enjoying a generous discount. As a part of the Labor Day sale, the company has slashed $580 off the regular tag, making it drop to $1,709.99.

As we noted in our in-depth review, this gaming laptop is comparatively thinner than some of the other similarly equipped options. It even comes with a premium aluminum case, which doesn't only make it good for travel but also eye-catching.

This variant of the laptop pairs the Intel Core i9 14900HX with the Nvidia RTX 4070. We reviewed the same configuration, and the Legion 7i Gen 9 didn't disappoint. As we mentioned in our review, the gaming performance is very good, and it handles all the modern AAA titles smoothly at 1440p and with all visual settings maxed out.

The display of the Legion 7i Gen 9 that's on sale is different from our review unit. It's a 16-inch IPS panel with 2560x1600 pixels resolution, HDR 400, 240 Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB coverage. These specs mean that the screen should be able to deliver sharp visuals.

Another highlight of this gaming laptop is the cooling setup. While it does get loud during load, it can make the CPU and the 140W GPU deliver stable performance. Other notable aspects include a good keyboard, a generous number of ports with a Thunderbolt 4, and Advanced Optimus.
