The Pixel 4a is still not here, over two and a half months after its probable original release date of May 12. The rumoured launch date of July 21 seemed likely after Google Canada published a marketing render of the Pixel 4a on July 13, but July 21 came and went without any Pixel news.
Now, Jon Prosser has reiterated a claim he made last month that Google will release the Pixel 4a on August 3. Prosser, who runs the Front Page Tech YouTube channel, rose to prominence earlier this year following his accurate leaks about the new iPhone SE. However, his streak came to an abrupt last end last month with his claim that Apple would rebrand iOS as iPhone OS. Prosser is willing to go all-in on predicting that Google will release the Pixel 4a on August 3, though. Accordingly, he is "100%" sure of that proposed date.
Based on past leaks and certification agency listings, the Pixel 4a is believed to have a 3,140 mAh battery, 6 GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset. Up to 128 GB of storage is apparently due too, as are two colour options from which to choose. The FCC has confirmed that there will be no 5G or Wi-Fi 6 connectivity on the Pixel 4a, though.
