Leaked report offers potential MediaPad M5 specs

It has been reported that Huawei will reveal three new MediaPad models at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona later this month. Editors for Notebookcheck gave positive reviews for various MediaPad M3 tablets and will be expecting the upcoming MediaPad M5 devices to improve on the predecessors’ scores.

Firstly, an 8.4-inch MediaPad M5 powered by a Kirin 960 processor is expected. This tablet should have a display featuring a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels. The device will also offer 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Prices for both LTE and Wi-Fi versions are expected to start at ~US$400.

The second model should be a 10-inch version of the device mentioned above, with similar specifications. The price for the 10-inch model may start at ~US$470. Likely inclusions for both 8.4-inch and 10-inch tablets are a 3.5 mm headphone port, USB Type-C and Cat. 4 LTE modem.

Finally, the third rumored device is likely to be a Huawei MediaPad M5 10 Pro, featuring the M-Pen stylus and LTE connectivity. Prices for this version are expected to start at around ~US$650.

Android 8.0 Oreo will be preinstalled with Huawei’s EMUI 8.0 custom overlay.
