Latest rumor says iPad 2 to be on diet, retains the screen size though

The nest generation iPad is a 7-inch one – this rumor is being challenged over and over again. The latest leaked snap reveals Apple’s love for audio quality with the next iPad. There are no firm reports that these images are genuine, but if they are – it means the iPad has not shrunk in the screen-size. Instead it has gone thinner, and possibly lighter.

As Electronista reported, Mac Otakara got some detailed specs about the gadget and even some pics from its Chinese contact. The iPad was showed as the same 9.7-inch form-factor that has a UI somewhat like the iPad Touch – with an emphasis on audio.

The dimension of the new iPad is rumored to be slimmer by atleast 3mm, and there might be a better light sensor. The 3G antenna is untouched though – as Electronista reports. There are also possibilities of a higher-resolution LCD and dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor.

The shipment is rumored to begin by Jan-Feb next year. No pricing is known yet.
