LG announces P430 and P530 Blade notebooks

Teaser
New ultra-thin 14” and 15.6” laptops come with "super-slim" LG Shuriken display

LG’s Shuriken displays already have a home in the company’s Xnote P210 notebooks and are now finding their way into more laptops. LG has announced that their new P430 and P530 Blade notebooks will come with the ultra-thin displays that feature a bezel that is “more than 40% narrower than other notebooks in the same class”.

In most cases, thin profiles come at the expense of inner components, but that doesn’t appear to be the case with LG’s latest laptops. Both the P430 and the P530 have been equipped with an Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7 processor along with an NVIDIA GT520M GPU; however, LG hasn’t announced what storage and memory options will be available. In addition, both the 14” P430 and the 15.6” P530 come with a 1.3MP HD webcam, SRS technology and weigh only 1.94kg and 2.2kg, respectively.

Finally, LG has chosen a brushed aluminum finish for their new notebooks and will make them available in Misty Blue and Titan Black colors. Unfortunately, the notebooks might not find their way stateside as the company is planning on releasing the notebooks throughout Europe, the Middle East, South America, and Asia so far.

The P430 will be available towards the end of May while the P530 will be released a month later.
