ASUS and Samsung have recently had their turns at the ultraportable game, and now LG is up to bat. The company’s 12.5” P220 showed up at Computex a week ago, and now the larger and more powerful P330 is making an appearance.
Spotted by the folks over at nDevil, the LG P330 comes in a matte black color and manages to fit some serious hardware under its brushed aluminum and magnesium casing. The laptop’s Sandy Bridge Core i7 processor is backed up by an NVIDIA GT555M GPU and also comes with a hybrid HDD/SSD. In addition, the 13.3” IPS display is likely to be the company's own Shuriken display that comes with a very narrow bezel.
With a weight of just 3.63lbs (1.65kg), the LG P330 could provide some good competition for the other ultraportables currently on the market. Ultimately the price could be the deciding factor, but unfortunately the only info we've currently got is that it should be coming some time in the 4th Quarter of 2011. However, an official announcement for the P220 and P330 should be forthcoming soon.
