LG X5 and X Skin launch in South Korea
LG is far from doing great these days as not even the sales of its impressive G5 modular flagship are not matching the expectations. However, most big names in the industry are slowly losing ground to the aggressively priced handsets that come from companies like Xiaomi, ZTE, or OnePlus. Despite this, LG struggles to survive and unleashes to new devices that should target the mid-range sector of the market.
Dubbed X5 and X Skin, both handsets are average devices with no obvious strengths or weaknesses, although many similarly priced Chinese handsets offer much more in terms of specs and features. These are the highlights of the two new smartphones:
- X Skin: 5-inch 720p, 1.3 GHz quad-core, 1.5 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, 5 MP/8 MP, 2100 mAh
- X 5: 5.5-inch 720p, 1.3 GHz quad-core, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, 8 MP/13 MP, 2800 mAh
While the LG X5 will cost around $170 USD and the color options offered are silver and gold, its smaller sibling will be soon available for purchase in indigo or white, for roughly $200 USD. Both devices come loaded with Android Marshmallow and there is no information about their international avaiability for now.
