L.A. Noire 2 could be the best-looking game ever made, as leak suggests 2030 release

Rockstar and Team Bondi released L.A. Noire back in 2011, and it became quite popular. Fans have been demanding a sequel ever since, and there have been some reports of the next instalment being in the works. Some new information is surfacing that hints at the plot as well as the possible release date.

The information was compiled and shared on the GTA Forums alongside other information from the same leaker. Notably, it is from 2023 and seems to be getting attention now. According to the post, Rockstar’s next game, after GTA 6 of course, will be L.A. Noire 2 and will be set in San Francisco. It adds that the Zodiac Killer will be included in some way, likely as the main protagonist.

The leaker also mentioned that it is in the early stages of development; that was back in 2023, but it could release in 2030. The original became so popular due to its revolutionary face animations at the time that actually demanded player attention in order to discern a lie from truth. It is said that with the sequel, the face scanning will be taken to the next level as Rockstar wants it to be the “best looking game ever made.”

That’s a hefty goal, but if anyone can achieve it, it’s Rockstar. However, there is no official information from the studio on L.A. Noire 2 that hints at its existence. That said, back in 2020, an alleged soundtrack for the sequel uploaded by a random account showed up on YouTube, but was quickly taken down by Take-Two.

Given the 2030 expected release for L.A. Noire 2, there is still quite a lot of time before we get more concrete information.
