Amazon has dropped the price of three 2025 JBL soundbars to their lowest price ever—JBL Bar 500MK2 5.1, 700MK2 7.1, and 1300XMK2 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos soundbars.
The JBL Bar 500MK2 has received a 31-percent discount off its MSRP of $649.95, the 700MK2 has received a 22-percent discount, and the 1300XMK2 has received a 29-percent discount, for a Black Friday sales price of $449.95, $699.95, and $1,199.95 respectively.
Although Rtings has not yet reviewed the Bar 500MK2, it has reviewed the prior Bar 500, which comes with two fewer speakers, and found it to be a good choice for music and movies. However, it lacks rear speakers and relies instead on MultiBeam 3.0 technology to bounce audio off the walls and ceiling to simulate a 3D sound field, according to JBL.
The 700Mk2 and 1300XMK2 both add two detachable wireless rear speakers for true surround sound. Amazon reviewers note the surround sound is not as effective as wired Dolby Atmos systems with many more speakers, such as those found in full-room home theater builds. Nonetheless, their 780W and 1570W power ratings suggest they are capable of delivering some of the punchy JBL Sound the brand is known for.
The dialogue on all Bars are processed by PureVoice 2.0 technology to help ensure clear voices at all volume levels, while the soundtracks are processed by SmartDetails technology to bring out the subtle details of the sound mix, says JBL.
They support music streaming over Bluetooth connections, and Google Cast and Apple AirPlay over Wi-Fi networks. The Bars connect to televisions using an optical or HDMI cable.
