Intel postpones Innovation 2024 event, possibly delaying Arrow Lake launch
With the recent instability issues with Raptor Lake and the layoff of over 15,000 employees, Intel appears not to be in its best state. The company has now announced that it has postponed Innovation 2024. To fill you in, this is an annual event that showcases new products ahead of the official launch.
For example, last year, Intel showed off the Meteor Lake processors, and this year, the Arrow Lake lineup was expected to make its official debut. But now that the Innovation 2024 event is postponed, the Core Ultra 200 lineup may see a delayed launch.
As for why Intel postponed Innovation 2024, the company said that the "financials were tougher than expected" in a brief statement to PCMag. The event is now pushed back to 2025 instead. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that the Arrow Lake series will launch in 2025.
On the official website, Intel says that the "smaller and more targeted events" are still scheduled. This could mean that the Intel Core Ultra 200 series processors will launch at a separate event.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the company has already announced that the Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake line will be released on September 3rd at IFA. As there has been no statement from Intel about it, it seems that the postponed Innovation 2024 event won't be affecting this launch.
