The HUAWEI Y6p is a very straightforward device. It may not be the most powerful device out there but it does what it set out to do very well. It’s got a massive battery, a decent set of cameras and it’s an overall good looking device. Coupled with a very low price of RM 559, the HUAWEI Y6p is definitely a phone I’d recommend to use as either a secondary device or an entry device for a kid or elderly person.

Finally, let’s talk about price. As I’ve mentioned earlier, the Huawei Y6p is priced at PHP 5,990, which is a solid deal considering its massive battery, deliverable cameras, wireless reverse charging support, 64GB of internal storage, and 4GB of RAM when usually, phones on this price range typically have 3GB.

That being said, the phone addresses most of the things that budget users need, including a decent camera, long battery life, and a price that won’t make a huge dent in your savings.

Comment
Model:
Huawei has released another affordable smartphones, the Huawei Y6P. As far as the design is concerned, there is definitely nothing to hype about, as it is just another typical 2020 budget smartphone design with the multi-coloured back covers being the most enticing thing about these modern low-range phones. However, since the number of possible colour combinations is finite, Huawei and others try to interest users with different patterns of reflections and overflows. In the case of the Huawei Y6P, these are diagonal curves that transform into waves when the angle of reflection changes. It is almost impossible to describe the effect that the design creates without actually seeing it. While the frame with a coating carries the same colour as the smartphone, it is not glossy and looks rather nice with no prints being visible on it. However, the plastic surface on the back definitely tends to attract scratches and fingerprints, which is inevitable. The model comes in three colour variations, namely Emerald Green, Midnight Black and Phantom Purple, for users to choose from depending on their personal preference.
On the front of the phone, there is a drop-shaped notch at the top that houses the selfie camera, with an earpiece speaker situated right above it. There are medium-sized bezels around the screen on the top and sides, but the bezels are two times thicker at the bottom. Apart from that, there is also a tray for two SIM cards and a microSD card on the left of the device, while the power button and volume button are on the right. At the bottom of the phone, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a main microphone and a microUSB port for user convenience. There is a vertical unit with three cameras with a single flash and a fingerprint scanner at the back of the smartphone. Looking into the camera, there is a 13MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth camera. In good lighting, the main camera delivers great photos and, even in low light conditions, the camera tends to capture shots with good details.
In terms of its display, the Huawei Y6P incorporates a 6.3-inch IPS panel with a 1,600 x 720 pixel resolution. Overall, the viewing angles are great, along with the contrast as well. The black tones are definitely deep, as they almost merge with the black bezels. The brightness is quite decent for its price. As for outdoor usage, the display definitely remains readable in most cases. For performance, the phone has been equipped with the MediaTek MT6762R Helio P22 chipset, while the PowerVR GE8320 handles the graphics. The processor provides sufficient performance for undemanding tasks. In terms of battery, the Y6P carries a 5,000mAh battery, which is definitely more than enough for this phone. Overall, it is a great phone for the price, although depending on the need and choice of the users.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

69.83%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
