Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro pre-orders begin amid a probable wider rollout
The Mate 30 series has endured a torrid release. While Huawei unveiled the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro in September at an event in Munich, it initially released the devices exclusively within China. The series then popped up in Romania, before Huawei announced that it would sell both devices in Malaysia and by invitation only in the Philippines.
Now, the Chinese company has started taking pre-orders in the latter country, with the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro priced at PHP 34,990 (~US$685) and PHP 50,990 (~US$999) respectively. The German website Techgarage also reports that the Mate 30 series will arrive on European shores in mid-November.
Specifically, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the UK will apparently receive the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro. While Huawei is yet to confirm this officially, Huawei Germany did not confirm or deny the claims made by Techgarage when asked by our German-speaking colleagues. If pricing remains identical to when Huawei announced the series in September, then expect the Mate 30 to start at €799 (~US$889) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Mate 30 Pro will probably cost €1,099 (~US1,222), although the entry-level model will have 256 GB of storage rather than 128 GB. 5G models will likely cost €100 (~US$111) more than their 4G counterparts too.
