This handset features 4G LTE connectivity, an all-metal design, and its launch has been officially confirmed for June 24.

Huawei Honor 7 has been in the rumor mill for a while, and most of its specs have been unveiled already. While these details still have to be officially confirmed, Huawei revealed the launch date of this smartphone - June 24. The latest leak brings just a few extra-details to the table - Honor 7 is said to feature an all-metal design, 4G LTE connectivity, and the same fingerprint sensor used by the Ascend Mate 7.

Older rumors and leaks reveal most of the remaining specs and features of the Huawei Honor 7 - Huawei Kirin 935 processor, 5-inch Full HD display with 441 ppi, 3 GB RAM and 16 GB storage or 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage configurations, NFC, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, as well as a non-removable 3280 mAh power pack.

Pricing and availability will be confirmed on launch, but rumors suggest that Huawei will sell the 16 GB storage variant for around $320 USD starting at the end of June. At last, the top configuration is expected to retail for roughly $435 USD beginning next month.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
