Honor rumored to be testing gigantic 15,000mAh battery for week-long phone life

Honor is purportedly experimenting with smartphone batteries ranging from 14,000mAh to 15,000mAh, potentially bringing week-long battery life to future devices. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the company's objective is to develop a phone capable of running for approximately seven days on a single charge. While such endurance would be particularly appealing to frequent travelers, outdoor workers and heavy smartphone users, the rumor remains unconfirmed by Honor.
The company has already established itself as an ambitious player in high-capacity smartphone batteries. Its Win model with a 10,000mAh battery launched late last year, followed by the 11,000mAh battery of the Honor X80 Pro Max in June. More recently, the company announced its Win RT 2 and Win Turbo 2 with even larger 12,070mAh batteries. The Win RT 2 also supports 90W wired charging.
However, pushing capacity towards 15,000mAh presents considerable engineering challenges. Larger batteries typically increase device thickness and weight while complicating thermal management. Honor has yet to disclose how it intends to address these concerns or when a smartphone featuring such a battery might reach the market. As for the leak from Digital Chat Station, this should be treated as unverified for now.
