While not the best performer for heavy loads, the HP EliteBook 860 G9 has a lot of other redeeming qualities, like the sturdy build, the good upgradeability, and the fantastic screen, which will serve you well both at home and at the office. The battery is also large enough to last through a whole day, while noise levels and temperatures are comfortable even during the most torturous of benchmarks.

With that said, the touchpad wasn’t stellar at all. The reason for that was probably an isolated issue with our unit, but we can’t be sure just yet. Well, the problem is basically the cursor skipping through the entire screen, and the issue happens in BIOS too. Yikes! Other than that, the build quality is great. This all-metal notebook is thin, light, and very rigid. If you want a laptop with amazing battery life, the EliteBook 860 G9 is a great choice. Especially for enterprise users, or business people. Just make sure your touchpad is working properly.

Overall, the HP EliteBook 860 G10 is a good choice if you’re on the hunt for a new big and light business device. The laptop is thin, the metal build feels premium to the touch and the input devices are comfortable for work. Still, the backlight is optional which is very strange considering the end price of the notebook. At least the unit is spill-resistant which is an additional layer of protection if you tend to drop opened water bottles on the notebook. The HP EliteBook 860 G10 is a solid offer in the business category of laptops. Its good comfort under load, long battery life, snappy performance, and up-to-date port selection can be a deal breaker for users who need a thin and light device for office usage.

The HP EliteBook 860 G11 ticks a lot of checkmarks when it comes to office devices. It has a clean design, a smooth finish that doesn’t pick up smudges with ease, and great input devices. The port selection impresses with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the upgradability is on point with the pair of SODIMMs. The only thing that we are missing is another M.2 slot. The comfort under max CPU load is good, the fan is almost quiet and the keyboard feels just warm. The 1200p screen (CMN1638) is typical for a workhorse like this laptop.

This range for display formats was and is a rarity. It is larger than the general standard of 15 inches, but not yet in the range of large workstations. One usually has higher screen resolutions available, but portability suffers from that.
