Google has reduced the price of the Pixel 5a this Black Friday to boost the popularity of its mid-range handset. The Pixel 5a shares plenty of its hardware with the Pixel 5, but with a 60 Hz display, a larger battery and a metal build.

Google's Black Friday deals are here, with the company reducing prices across nine products. While most are Nest devices, the Pixel 5a has also received a price cut. Currently, you can pick up the mid-range smartphone for US$399, a U$50 saving compared to its regular price.

In other words, Google has cut the Pixel 5a by over 11%. To recap, the Pixel 5a has a 6.34-inch display within a 154.9 x 73.7 x 7.6 mm chassis. The handset weighs 185g, most on account of its metal unibody design. Incidentally, the Pixel 5a is the only mid-range Pixel smartphone with a metal build.

The 1080p and 60 Hz device has a 4,680 mAh battery too, a capacity that is the second largest of any Pixel smartphone. Google has paired the large battery with a Snapdragon 765G, along with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. We have embedded a comparison between the Pixel 4a, Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a below.

Google's Black Friday deal on the Pixel 5a runs between November 18, 2021 at 12:00 PT and December 01, 2021 at 23:59 PT. However, the company stresses that the deal will only be active 'while supplies last and subject to availability. You must also be a US resident to participate in the offer, and at least 18 years old.
