Google Play Music now available in Canada
Google Play Music has been streaming tunes to folks in the United States since November of 2011, yet it is just today making its debut up north in Canada. Google today announced that the streaming music subscription service would be accessible to Canadian customers, providing unlimited access to over 25 million songs.
Google Music was previously available in over 20 other countries including Luxembourg, Mexico, Slovakia and New Zealand, but Canadians had to resort to other measures. The service is now available for a monthly fee of $9.99 which comes with 30 days free, although a special introductory offer brings that down to just $7.99/month.
Customers looking to get started can access the service through the Google Play Music app, which is available for Android and iOS. The app also allows the storage of up to 20,000 songs in the cloud, so frequent listeners should get a head start on their uploading.
