Get Windows 10 Live Tiles on Android thanks to SquareHome 2
Windows 10 Mobile might be a dead platform already, but there are many who migrated to Android who would enjoy keeping around at least some of its features. The Live Tiles visual treat is one of these missing things, and a few launchers allow their users to bring this feature of the Windows Phone operating system to Google's Android. One such Android launcher is SquareHome 2 and, although its latest update arrived on November 29, 2017, we are sure at least some of our readers will enjoy discovering it now.
Self-advertised as "the best launcher with metro UI of Windows 10," SquareHome 2 can be used on phones and tablets, but it can also be employed to spice up the interface of smart TV boxes that run Android. In addition to the Windows 10-style Live Tiles, this Android launcher also features quick access to contacts, a smart app drawer, vertical in-page scrolling and horizontal page-to-page scrolling, on-tile notifications, as well as an impressive amount of customization options.
SquareHome 2 is freely available via Google Play, but its premium features cost around US$5 to activate. However, they come enabled by default and will stay that way for a 14-day free trial. Although some areas might still need a bit of polishing, SquareHome 2 has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 on Google Play after 41,451 users rated it. Until now, it has been downloaded by more than 1,000,000 users.
