Garmin releases new beta update fixing smartwatch battery drain issue

The Garmin vivoactive 6 smartwatch is now receiving the beta version 19.15 update. This release follows the end of the 18.xx software release cycle, which brought features like the XC Ski Indoor activity and a suggested quick workout for running to the wearable.
Now, users of the Garmin vivoactive 6 are getting a change to Auto Lap prompts, announcing the number of completed laps during your workout. Vibrations are now blocked when taking a reading in the Pulse Ox app. Plus, a manual snooze option has been added to move alerts. On top of this, there are now on-watch instructions for pairing an HRM 200 or HRM 600 device.
According to the change log posted in the Garmin forum, the beta version 19.15 update fixes several bugs with the vivoactive 6. For example, a battery drain issue which occurred when using Alipay has been resolved. The company has also tackled problems linked to the Breathwork Live Activity, the Radar Camera Controls data screen and Find My Device alerts.
If you own a Garmin vivoactive 6 smartwatch (curr. $299 at Amazon) and are a member of the brand’s Public Beta program, you should now be able to install this update. To do so, you need to go to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates.
