The Rubik's WOWCube reinvents one of the most famous puzzles of the last century by replacing 54 colored tiles with 24 displays, four on each side of the cube. The WOWCube can be rotated exactly like a classic Magic Cube, but instead of bringing all colors to one side, players can solve a variety of digital puzzle games.
The cube ships with custom versions of Space Invaders, 2048 and Cut the Rope, as these games can be controlled entirely by twisting the gadget. Additional games can be downloaded from the official Rubik's App Store on a connected smartphone and then transferred to the cube via Bluetooth. Besides games, the Magic Cube can also display decorative animations and useful apps and widgets, which can show the time, a timer, stock prices or incoming emails, among other things.
That said, the WOWCube does not have touchscreens, but in addition to the twisting mechanism, it does have a motion sensor. This means that inputs can also be made by moving, shaking or tapping the cube. Meanwhile, the 3,600mAh battery is charged on a magnetic dock that features RGB lighting. The cube also has integrated microphones and speakers as well as enough storage for more than 100 apps.
