Fydetab Duo launches for £489 with January 2023 shipment aim
The Fydetab Duo is now available to back through Indiegogo, nearly two months after Fyde Innovations unveiled the 2-in-1. As we discussed at the time, the Fydetab Duo has a 12.35-inch IPS panel that operates at 500 nits and 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The Fydetab Duo has relatively thin bezels too, at least when compared with the Surface Go 3.
However, the Fydetab Duo relies on FydeOS, a Linux distribution capable of running Android apps, not Windows 11. Likely offering a more lightweight experience than Microsoft's OS, Fyde Innovations provides more details about FydeOS on a dedicated website, where you can also download versions for AMD or Intel-based machines. In comparison, the Fydetab Duo features the ARM-based Rockchip RK3558S, as well as 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 128 GB of eMMC flash storage and a microSD card reader.
Currently, the Fydetab Duo starts at £489, 'Early Bird' pricing that includes a stylus, a protective case, a magnetic keyboard and a power adapter. Alternatively, Fyde Innovations will sell the 2-in-1 for £539 when it turns off Early Bird pricing. Please see the company's Indiegogo campaign page for more information about the Fydetab Duo, including shipping prices.
