CeBIT 2017 | Fujitsu announces 13.3-inch Lifebook U937 and S937 starting at 1650 Euros
CeBIT 2017 starts this week in Germany and Fujitsu has already two new business-centric Lifebook models: The 13.3-inch U937 and the S937.
The Lifebook U937 will be one of the lightest notebooks in its category at just under 1 kg. Fujitsu is promising no performance sacrifices as the notebook will ship with ULV Core i5 and i7 options including the i5-7200U, i5-7300U, and i7-7600U. Different SSD capacities will be made available with Windows 10 Pro as the base OS. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, SmartCard reader, TPM 2.0, and Fujitsu's PalmSecure vein scanner.
Meanwhile, the Lifebook S937 will focus on extra-long runtimes with a promise of 15 hours of regular use before needing to recharge. This is made possible by a modular secondary battery that can extend the battery life of the primary battery by a claimed 6 hours. The same PalmSecure sensor, SmartCard reader, and TPM 2.0 features of the U937 will also make their way to the S937.
Both Lifebook models are expected to launch in Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa starting April 10. Prices and configuration levels will vary depending on location, but European users can expect the U937 and S937 to retail for about 1900 Euros and 1650 Euros, respectively. Full specifications of the two models can be found below.
Fujitsu recently announced the high-end Lifebook P727 and T937 earlier this year also aimed at business users.
