For mouse users. In the highly competitive business market, Fujitsu aims to convince the purchasing teams of big companies with its new Lifebook U747. Our comprehensive test report reveals whether this succeeds in view of the strong competition.

There is something of a 'back to basics' feel about Fujitsu's Lifebook U747, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Plenty of organisations still use VGA monitors and wired Ethernet, and connecting to these without a port replicator might be important. It's nice to see an SD card reader here, and the removable battery is also a plus point.

For mouse users, part II. After recently having tested the Lifebook U747, the U757 has found its way into our test labs. Read in our in-depth report whether the U757 receives a purchase recommendation.

The Fujitsu Lifebook U757 just isn't good enough to compete compete with rivals. Disappointing performance, a poor-quality display and a sub-par battery life make this one to avoid, despite business-friendly features.

Turned on its head. A business notebook with an all-around worry-free package - already noticeable from opening the box. But the abundant accessories cannot hide the weaknesses.

The Fujitsu Lifebook T937 sounds great at first: a Core i5-powered convertible with tons of security features and a fresh take on rotating hinges. Unfortunately, many of its appealing aspects are either compromised by other flaws or simply fail to function.

Fujitsu: Fujitsu is a Japanese technology group listed on the Nikkei 225 with origins dating back to 1935. Its products and services focus on information technology, telecommunications, semiconductors, networks, computer and communications products and advanced microelectronics.
In 1999, the cooperation with Siemens in the IT sector (servers, notebooks, desktop PCs, etc.) started under the Fujitsu-Siemens brand. 10 years later, this cooperation ended.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
Intel HD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2) found on some Kaby-Lake CPU models (15 W ULV series).

i5-7200U: Kaby-Lake based SoC with two CPU cores clocked at 2.5 to 3.1 GHz, HyperThreading and manufactured with an improved 14nm process.
i7-7600U: Kaby-Lake based SoC with two CPU cores clocked at 2.8 to 3.9 GHz, HyperThreading and manufactured with an improved 14nm process. Integrates a HD Graphics 620 clocked at 300 - 1150 MHz and is manufactured in an improved 14nm process.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

74.6%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
