A bundle of 116 games for $0: Itch.io is currently offering an entire indie game library for an optional donation. The games are DRM-free, and some are available not only for Windows, but also for macOS and Linux.

While gaming hardware such as the Nintendo Switch 2 ($499 on Amazon) keeps getting more expensive, Itch.io is currently offering a bundle of 116 games that can even be acquired for free. The "Itching for Games 3" bundle is offered for an optional donation, which is distributed among the 74 developers of the included games. Itch.io emphasizes that all revenue goes to the developers, not the store. The bundle is only available until Friday, October 30, at 1:00 p.m. CET or 08:00 a.m. EDT.

All games can be downloaded for free. However, adding the titles to your own Itch.io account and receiving the five included Steam keys requires a payment of at least $1, which is intended to cover transaction fees. The average donation paid by buyers of the bundle currently stands at $2.99. Buying all the included games individually would instead cost $384.

Most of the games in the bundle are only available for Windows PCs, although some titles also come with versions for Linux, macOS and even Android. However, the package includes not only video games, but also, for example, characters for Dungeons & Dragons, or short tabletop RPGs such as Under the Twilight. Other content, such as Eggs on Faces, interprets the term "game" a little more loosely. For a price of just a few bucks, though, the package is certainly worth a try, if only to sample retro strategy games such as Port Traventor or pixel RPGs such as Sapphire City without any risk.
