Fenix E06R Pro RG: Sleek EDC flashlight with red/white light and laser debuts

Fenix has launched a new variant of the previously introduced E06R Pro. The E06R Pro RG uses a red light instead of the integrated UV lamp. The housing has not changed, so this is still a flat flashlight measuring around 4.7 inches long and weighing a little over 3.5 oz. The battery is therefore still permanently installed. There also appear to be no differences in operation compared to the E06R. The flashlight has a relatively large number of buttons for direct access to all functions.
Alongside the new red light, there is a white floodlight, a white spotlight and a green laser. When the floodlight and spotlight are combined, the flashlight reaches up to 525 ft. However, this turbo mode with 1,600 lumens can only be used briefly. In continuous mode, a little over two hours of runtime is possible, although, as with the E06R Pro, brightness is reduced as the remaining battery charge drops. Moonlight mode offers more than 100 hours of runtime for both white lights.
There is also an illuminated ring as well as two signal LEDs, which can be used together to attract attention. Various colors and patterns are available here. As before, the internal battery is charged via USB-C. The flashlight has an exposed USB-C port, but it is still protected against dust and water. Fenix lists an IP66 rating. The flashlight costs $85 at the brand's official online store, making it about $10 more expensive than the E06R Pro model with the UV lamp, which is still available. The E06R Pro RG is offered in black, olive and signal orange.
