Doogee's upcoming S98 Pro goes up for pre-order, launch date set on June 6
After last month's introduction, Doogee is taking one more step forward before the release of the upcoming S98 Pro, namely the unveiling of the handset's launch date and price tag. As usual, this announcement comes alongside an early bird price for the first pre-orders, as well as a giveaway that allows a few lucky fans to get the phone for free.
The launch date of this MediaTek Helio G96-driven rugged handset is set for June 6, and the regular price of US$439.99 is down to US$299.99 for the first 100 orders placed via AliExpress. Those who miss this early bird deal will be able to grab the Doogee S98 Pro for US$329.99 between June 6 and June 10.
The new technical details that have been unveiled concern the cameras. To be more specific, the Doogee S98 Pro will pack a 48 MP Sony IMX582 main shooter and a 20 MP Sony IMX350 night vision camera in addition to the 16 MP selfie shooter and 8 MP wide camera. The main attribute (uncovered last month) that makes this handset different from the regular S98 is the thermal imaging camera that uses a sensor by InfiRay.
In addition to AliExpress, this rugged phone will make its debut on DoogeeMall and Linio (Latin America). The Android 12-driven Doogee S98 Pro will be available in 3 versions, specifically EU, RU, and Global.
