Discord appears to be down for thousands of users right now. Most of them are being met with an error screen that says "increased API errors."

If you’re trying to log into Discord or send messages right now but keep running into errors, you’re not alone. It looks like Discord is currently facing a major outage affecting thousands of users worldwide.

Around an hour ago, users on X and other social media platforms started reporting issues with the service. Many said they were unable to log in, while others mentioned that messages were failing to send or channels were not loading properly.

Discord users are being met with "increased API errors"

Most of the users are being met with an error that says “increased API errors.” The message further explains that the Discord team is aware of the issue and is actively working on a fix. According to the notice, the outage is impacting core parts of the platform, including logging in and sending messages.

The outage also appears to be widespread based on reports from DownDetector. In the past hour alone, the site has received more than 70,000 reports related to Discord issues.

At the moment, Discord has not shared exactly when the issue will be fixed or when services are expected to fully return to normal. However, the company says its team is actively investigating the problem and working to restore availability as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, there is not much users can do on their end right now. Since this appears to be a server-side issue, restarting the app, reinstalling it, or refreshing your connection likely will not solve the problem.
