Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to support Tobii Eye Tracking

Teaser
Another major title receives support for Tobii EyeX tracking technology.

Tobii Group are pioneers in eye tracking technology. Their products are widely used in the scientific and healthcare sectors for research and assistive technology applications, however, they also develop products aimed at everyday consumers. One such product is the EyeX module which is intended to create a more immersive gaming experience.

In addition to enabling the user to control certain mechanics such as throwing or aiming, the EyeX module also doubles as a biometric scanner for Windows Hello login authentication. Assassin's Creed Syndicate and The Division are among the recent titles to have received the Tobii treatment. On August 23rd, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will launch with support for the impressive eye tracking technology as well.

Of course to experience this type of gameplay, you will need an EyeX device. Some gaming notebooks such as the MSI GT72S Tobii ships with the hardware embedded. Otherwise, it is possible to purchase a standalone module from Tobii for $139 USD. Luckily, Tobii are currently offering a free copy of the game with every purchase to help alleviate the total cost.
