Dell’s Latitude 9510 is one of the thinnest, lightest, and best-looking 15-inch business laptops around, but unless you need the full slate of its enterprise IT features, the lofty price is difficult to justify.

Of course, all these won’t come cheap and we haven’t even been communicated a starting price yet, all we know is that the laptop will be available in stores somewhere towards the end of March 2020.

We’re excited to get more time with the Dell Latitude 9510 and see what kind of numbers it wracks up on our own tests, but so far, we love how thin and light the machine is as well as its vivid display. Stay tuned for our full review and benchmarks, and check out more of our current CES 2020 coverage.

The Latitude 9510 looks good and promises beastly performance in a lightweight form. You get 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, AI-support, and a gorgeous 15in display cleverly squeezed into a 14in chassis. There's a lot to like, though we anticipate a high asking price for the privilege of owning such a versatile machine.

We know it supports "up to" Intel's i7 vPro processors, but it remains schtum about which ones. Similarly, the manufacturer says it can support up to 1TB of M.2 NVMe storage and 16GB of RAM, but hasn't disclosed what particular configurations will be available.

15.6-inch screen sizes have traditionally not translated so well into convertible form factors due to the sheer size and weight involved. The Latitude 9510 2-in-1 mostly circumvents this by narrowing the bezels even further and reducing the screen size to 15.0 inches instead.

Basically, if you're willing and able to pay for the Dell Latitude 9510 (or your company is), you'll be rewarded with a top-flight work experience. It's a great fit if you're working from home right now, but still small enough and light enough to be a travel companion down the road.

For consumers and small-business customers, the Latitude might be a great buy at a discount. But without a 4K screen, discrete graphics, or a standout screen, it’s not worth sticker price. Anyone who doesn’t need those components should be just fine with the Elite Dragonfly or Asus’s ExpertBook B9540, both of which are comparable to the Latitude in most areas (and better in some) while also being $1,000 cheaper.

The Latitude 9510 2-in-1 is the best business laptop you can buy. It’s light, fast, has a good display and keyboard, long battery and pleasing design. But before you spend Rs 1,87,841 on this machine, you need to know who you are. This is a great choice for business executives and high net individuals who want a thin and light business notebook. It’s expensive – but there are large corporations who don’t mind spending close to 2 lakh on a laptop for their senior executives.

The Dell Latitude 9510 is a powerful business PC boasting a very durable, premium build and the latest features from the Microsoft Windows operating system. It is a tad heavy to use a tablet but as far as the work is concerned, gets it done without any performance issues. Users may have to face some heating issues when using the laptop in tablet mode, otherwise in the laptop mode, they won’t be bothering them. The battery is the strongest feature of this laptop and will make the laptop go on for an average of 7-8 hours, even under some heavy non-graphic intensive multitasking. The audio on speakers is not that loud for a room, but it is clear and without distortion. Overall, the Dell Latitude 9510 is a solid machine, well-built and well-equipped for workstation needs.

Dell's Latitude 9510 could be the most important business laptop of 2020. That's not necessarily obvious just from looking at it. I mean, it's a nice-looking laptop, but not a visual standout. But really it's only after using the 9510 for a little while that you start to understand why it's special and what it allows you to do that other work laptops don't. Mainly, it gets out of your way and lets you get your work done, wherever you are, even if that's stuck at home right now.

The Latitude 9510 pulled off an impressive feat with its battery life, not to mention its super-slim size. The solid performance and decently bright display are also nice touches. However, the pricing is absurd, especially since you don’t get a 4K display or a discrete graphics card. Make no mistake, this is a laptop for companies with money to spend, not for your average consumer or mid-range business owner, which is nonsense, because this is a promising laptop and it shouldn’t be overpriced because of its intended user base.

Right now, during a pandemic, true all-day battery life doesn’t mean as much when “mobile” means tromping from one room to another. We’d like to think, however, that the Dell Latitude 9510 will still be relevant as business travelers resume, well, traveling. Its price looks steep until you realize this is a business buy, usually designed to fit an IT department's budget, not one's own.

Dell Latitude 15 9510’s IPS panel AUO B150HAN (AUO1017D, J4VRV) has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, high maximum brightness (443 nits), and very good contrast ratio. Additionally, it doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment and covers the sRGB color gamut almost fully (99%). Provided you get our Gaming and Web design profile, you will receive high color accuracy, matching the sRGB standard. This is of great importance to people who professionally work with colors, both in online retail, and art.

The Dell Latitude 9520 is a compact laptop that offers business-class performance and security in a well-built package. The model we tested costs Rs 2.12 lakh and it packs in an 11th Gen Intel processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB SSD storage. Just like most Dell laptops, you can configure the Latitude series for a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh. There are a few things we have to say. Firstly, we can’t believe this is the second year in a row, where the most premium business laptop from Dell can’t offer the best out of its processor. Indeed, it is much better than the 1.25 GHz sustained on the older device, but clearly, the cooling has the potential, and the manufacturer is not using it. At the end of the day, this laptop is not bad. Especially with all of Dell’s security software included. However, there are some areas that were not fixed from last year. Some of them may be resolved with a simple BIOS update, while others need more attention in the R&D department. Regardless, the Latitude 15 9520 comes at a premium, that not many people will find reasonable.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
