Expecting huge sales within days of a major laptop launch would be unrealistic especially when it comes to Apple products. The 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro launched not too long ago for $1999 and $2499 USD, respectively, each with Apple's fancy M1 Pro processor instead of the usual Intel or AMD. If you're in the market for one, then Costco will save you some pocket change of $50 on each SKU which is certainly better than nothing.
More important than the small savings is Costco's very lenient return policy on electronics when compared to other retailers like Apple or Best Buy. Indeed, most users who decide to purchase from Costco will likely be doing so for their 90-day return policy and base two year warranty compared to the much narrower two-week return window or one-year manufacturer warranty with Best Buy. It's a reasonable way to protect an expensive investment running on an avant-garde CPU.
Expect our full review on the MacBook Pro M1 Pro in the coming weeks.
