Caviar is best known for luxury versions of smartphones such as the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, but the manufacturer is now also moving into the growing market for humanoid robots. More specifically, the Caviar Aladdin is basically a redesigned Unitree G1.
Caviar replaces the simple gray housing with a black body that’s decorated with real gold and gemstones. The Aladdin is specifically built after a custom order has been placed, which means that buyers can adjust the design and gemstones to their individual preferences. From a technical standpoint, the robot is identical to the Unitree G1. This means the robot stands about 4 feet 4 inches tall, weighs roughly 77 lbs and is equipped with a 9,000mAh battery that supposedly lasts around two hours before it needs to be recharged.
The robot can perceive its surroundings via a 3D camera and LiDAR scanner. Four microphones and 5-watt speakers are used to communicate with users. The robot is further capable of lifting objects weighing up to 4.4 lbs. The usefulness of the Caviar Aladdin or the Unitree G1 will ultimately primarily depend on the software. Unitree has already taught the G1 to play tennis and basketball, which illustrates that the robot can be quite versatile.
Price and availability
The Caviar Aladdin robot is only available by request, and pricing depends on the level of customization. Requests can be submitted via Caviar’s website. The technically identical Unitree G1 retails for prices starting at $13,500.
