Casioblog has posted new insider images of Casio’s unannounced CMK-100 mechanical series, showing all three references in detail. An oversized knurled crown and a grainy matte dial are now visible, while titanium and sapphire are still big parts of the rumor.

Casioblog has published a fresh set of images of Casio’s CMK-100 mechanical series. They are the clearest look yet at a watch the company still has not announced. The post went up on 13 October and credits unnamed insiders.

Three references show up yet again. The CMK-100TD-1A sits on a bracelet, the CMK-100TC-1A on textile and the CMK-100TL-1A on leather. This matches the lineup that circulated earlier this month.

The images do add more detail to what we already had. The crown is the biggest departure from Casio’s usual practice, because instead of the compact and largely flush component the brand normally fits, the CMK-100 gets a large knurled block with a pyramidal pattern cut into it. The bezel is flush with the case. The bracelet appears to use solid links, and both case and bracelet carry a fine brushed texture that Casioblog describes as hair-like.

The dial is grainy and matte. Casioblog likens it to asphalt chippings or volcanic rock and connects it to the textured dials Casio has used on the EFK-100 and EFK-200. A small date window sits at three, and Neobrite covers the hands and indices, glowing green in the dark. That matters more than it would elsewhere, because this series carries no backlight.

The claims that are still unverified are the ones that make the watch interesting. Insiders say the case is titanium and the crystal sapphire. The movement is rumored to be the Miyota 8215, a 21-jewel automatic running at 21,600 vph with roughly 42 hours of reserve. Casio has confirmed none of it, and no case dimensions have surfaced yet.

Casioblog and @geesgshock expect an announcement in the next couple of months. Everyone is hoping the price lands under $300.
