Codrut Nistor,

Casio unveiled the WSD-F10 smart outdoor watch back at CES 2016 in January, and now its launch date is only one week away. This connected time piece has a rugged design that complies with military specifications and allows it to handle water submersion up to 164 feet, as well as shocks, drops, or dust.

This smart wearable allows its users to check direction, altitude, sunrise/sunset time, atmospheric pressure, but can also deliver email alerts or perform voice search operations. This wearable runs Android Wear and has a 1.32-inch dual layer display that can work in color or monochrome mode as needed, to help improve battery life. It received multiple awards back at CES, including Best of CES 2016 from Ubergizmo and Best Wearable Tech  Product by Wareable.

Casio WSD-F10 will be available in red, black, green, and orange via Amazon, Google Store, REI and ShopCasio for $500 USD starting on March 25th.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
