Blackberry Priv Pre-register page gives information about the new smartphone
A lot of the Priv's specifications and features have been speculation, and now the pre-registration website has offered new details. Blackberry introduces the Priv on its site as the first ever secure Android smartphone to be released by the company, and lists some of the key features that users will be able to take advantage of right out of the box. The new Android smartphone will house a 5.4 inch dual-curved display and both a touch keyboard and a physical keyboard.
Blackberry also finally revealed that it will have access to the Google Play Store, giving users the ability to download all of the apps that are available on the marketplace. This is a very important feature, as the recently-failed Amazon Fire smartphone did not have access to this store, and it was seen as a major drawback. The Priv will have a large 3400 mph battery as well, which could mean an above-average battery life for those who use their smartphones heavily.
Unfortunately, the pre-registration site does not offer any indication of when the latest Blackberry smartphone could be up for pre-order or release, but hopefully these details will come to light before long. This is also a very important release for the company. If Blackberry can not turn this product release into a success, it might leave the smartphone market indefinitely.
