Verdict - Bose tuned sound coupled with a strong feature set
The Inspire XP1 from Baseus offer everything you’d expect from traditional high-quality true wireless earbuds, with the added bonus of a sound profile tuned by Bose. All that at a relatively budget price tag, making them a solid value for money offering for most shoppers. The ANC is effective and transparency mode works great. There’s nothing to complain about the all-day battery life when ANC is off. Even with turned on, they last a full work day. Being in-ear style earbuds, the fit may not work for those who typically have issues with earbuds staying in. Besides that, the balanced sound and convenient touch controls make the Inspire XP1 and easy to recommend option.

Unboxing and accessories
The unboxing experience with the Baseus Inspire XP1 is simple and straightforward. The retail box contains the earbuds in the charging case, a set of silicone ear tips, a quick start guide, and a USB Type-C charging cable. The medium size tips are pre-installed on the earbuds.
Design and comfort
The Inspire XP1 are the more traditional earbuds with silicon ear tips and a stem. They have a dual-tone color combination of Starlight Off-White with champaign gold accents. Baseus has a Cosmic Black variant as well, with a dual-tone finish. The case for the XP1 is fairly small and has a soft closing snap. It can also be opened with one hand.
As for comfort, the in-ear earbuds are quite subjective and unfortunately for me, the right earbud would sometimes pop out (with the correct size ear tip). That’s a problem I’ve had with all other in-ear style earbuds so the Inspire XP1’s cannot be blamed for it. When locked in place, they feel pretty comfortable and the touch controls on the stem work well, once you get used to the placement.
Sound quality and performance
The sound on the Inspire XP1 has been tuned by Bose, bringing a dedicated EQ within the Baseus app. The sound with this tuning is pretty balanced, just like the XC1. But the advantage these earbuds gain over the open-ear XC1 is that the seal in the ear enables a louder and bassier music listening experience. The thump of the lows is much more pronounced and at the same volume as the XC1, music sounds much louder. Even though there are only 10 mm dynamic drivers as opposed to a combination of two 10 mm drivers on the XC1, these sound louder and about as clean as the XC1. Check out our review of the Inspire XC1 to know more.
The XP1 also has dual device simultaneous connections which is a must have for pretty much every working professional, especially those working from home. Having the earbuds connected to my work laptop and my phone with seamless audio switching between the two was highly conveneint. ANC works great as well and eliminates constant noise like from exhausts (when in the kitchen), a 3D printer close-by, and motors almost entirely. Transparency mode works as advertised, amplifying the environmental sounds. In-ear detection enables audio getting paused when one or both earbuds are taken out of the ear. There is no LDAC support with the XP1 but that’s not really a significant compromise for most Bluetooth audio listeners at this price point.
Battery life is plenty to keep music playing throughout the work day. I consistently end each day with 20 to 30% left, granted with ANC off and at a fairly low volume working from home. They are connected to my work laptop and mobile simultaneously through the day and calls take priority, ensuring I didn’t miss any. The case charges them swiftly as well and up to six times, depending on how much is depleted with every use.
Since there is no LDAC support, they don’t suffer from the same bug as the Inspire XC1 (as pointed out in their review). The touch controls are responsive as well and can be customized through the Baseus app.
