Asus has officially teased the Zenfone 12 Ultra and has confirmed that it will be fully unveiled on February 6. Days before the official reveal, the complete specs of the smartphone leaked alongside the official promotional pictures and renders. This leak comes from a reliable tipster, Roland Quandt, and per the shared photos, the device looks identical to the ROG Phone 9 Pro.
To be exact, only the flash module is placed in a different spot than the ROG Phone 9 Pro. Other than that, all the design aspects are pretty much the same. Of course, it doesn't come with the gamer-centric aesthetics that Asus's gaming line of phones is known for. Instead, the leaked pictures show the device in not-so-gamery colorways.
As for the specs, Roland shares that the Zenfone 12 Ultra will sport the same 6.78-inch screen with 2400x1080 pixels resolution. This LTPO panel is said to feature a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz but can bump to 144 Hz while gaming. The display is also said to house the same 32 MP selfie shooter in a centered punch-hole cutout.
When it comes to the back, Roland shares that the primary camera is the same Sony Lytia 700 found in the ROG Phone 9 Pro (available on Amazon). It's a 50 MP sensor, and Asus has apparently integrated an "updated" OIS. On the Zenfone 12 Ultra, this primary sensor is paired with a 13 MP ultrawide and 32 MP telephoto.
Other notable highlights from the leak include an IP68 certification, 3.5 mm audio jack, Snapdragon 8 Elite, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and 5,500 mAh battery with 65 W wired and 15 W wireless charging. There's no word about the possible price of the Zenfone 12 Ultra yet.
