The Asus Vivobook 16 Flip is a great entertainment laptop, courtesy of its beautiful 16-inch 120 Hz OLED display. Intel's Core Ultra 7 "Lunar Lake" CPU allows respectable performance and battery life as well, making the heavily discounted laptop almost perfect for casual users and bargain hunters.

Potential laptop buyers who prioritize display quality and battery life will most likely already have the Asus Vivobook 16 Flip laptop on their radars. Featuring an objectively beautiful 16-inch OLED display and impressive Lunar Lake-powered performance and efficiency, the capable laptop can now be purchased for just $949.99 on Amazon.

At its core, the Asus Vivobook laptop 16 Flip is powered by the 8-core, 8-thread Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor sporting 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory. Performance is perfectly inoffensive, although not quite something to write home about. In synthetic benchmarks such as Cinebench 2024, the Core Ultra 7 is roughly in the same league as the three-year old Apple M2. That said, the laptop is unlikely to break a sweat when exposed to web browsing, emails, or content consumption.

Intel's Lunar Lake chips boast impressive efficiency, and the Vivobook 16 Flip is no exception. The laptop lasted just under 14 hours in LaptopMag's battery life test, which is right around what can be expected from a similar system. The Arc 140V iGPU is pretty impressive, all things considered, and manages to outperform the GTX 1650 Ti Mobile discrete GPU in synthetic benchmarks. In other words, some lightweight gaming at modest framerates is absolutely possible with the Vivobook 16 Flip.

Figuratively speaking, the Vivobook 16 Flip laptop shines bright when it comes to display performance. Although the display maxes out at just around 350 nits, the 16-inch 120 Hz OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 allows for a rich and vivid viewing experience, according to LaptopMag's review. However, the keyboard failed to impress the reviewers, who deemed it rather 'mushy' and unsatisfying to type on. The laptop's webcam performance was also rather unimpressive, but neither of these issues is likely to be major deal breaker for the majority of casual users. The port selection is as follows:

  • Thunderbolt 4
  • HDMI 2.1
  • USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • 3.5mm audio jack, microSD reader

At its current all-time low sale price on Amazon, the Asus Vivobook 16 Flip laptop with the Core Ultra 7 256V and 512 GB SSD offers a decent value proposition for customers who demand a beautiful display but have moderate performance expectations. For a deeper look, feel free to refer to LaptopMag's review of the product.
