Reviews for the Asus PL80J
Source: Good Gear Guide

All up, the PL80J is a light, nice-looking notebook with good build quality and plenty of features. Security features, such as the fingerprint reader, make it a decent choice for business users in addition to home users. We're not fans of the Optimus technology in this notebook though: we don't think the NVIDIA graphics adapter provides enough of a performance boost compared to the integrated Intel graphics.

The Core i5-520UM is a power efficient ultra low voltage processor for laptops. Using Turbo Boost it can be clocked with up to 1.86 GHz. Thanks to Hyperthreading, 4 threads can be processed simultaneously. An integrated graphics card (Intel HD Graphics with 166-500 MHz) and a DDR3-800 memory controller are also included in the package. Compared to the Core i7-620UM, the 520UM offers less Level 3 Cache and a slower Turbo Boost clock rate.

Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

Usually subnotebooks, ultrabooks and quite lightweight laptops with 12-16 inch display-diagonal weigh as much.

70%: This rating is bad. Most notebooks are better rated. This is not a recommendation for purchase.
